Lino Miani is a retired US Army Special Forces officer, author of The Sulu Arms Market, CEO of Navisio Global LLC, and owner of The Affiliate Network blog.  He has fifteen years of special operations, interagency, and multinational experience in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and NATO. He is a veteran of the Program for Emerging Leaders (PEL) at the Center for the Study of WMD at the National Defense University in Washington, DC, an Olmsted Foundation Scholar, and a sought after expert on illicit markets, WMD proliferation, and responses to hybrid warfare.  His 2011 book, The Sulu Arms Market is the world’s authoritative look inside the shadowy world of illicit trafficking of firearms in Southeast Asia.

 Lino speaks Spanish, Malay, Indonesian, and French and holds security clearances in the United States and NATO. He holds a B.S. in Regional Geography from West Point, an M.A. in Strategic and Defense Studies from the University of Malaya, and an M.A. in Interagency Studies from Kansas University.

 Lino is currently writing his second book, Project Stranger
