The mission of Counter Terrorism Ethics (CTE) is to conduct interdisciplinary research on a range of pressing public policy concerns arising from the emergence of global terrorism

This research is driven by considerations of both efficacy and ethics; hence the involvement of practitioners and applied philosophers, as well as political and social scientists, lawyers, journalists, and computer experts.

The project is funded under the European Research Council Advanced Grants scheme and is a collaborative enterprise involving some of the world’s leading research institutions and counter-terrorism experts.

CTE will make an important contribution to our collective responsibility to defend liberal democratic values against the threat posed by global terrorism.
